Senior Network Systems Engineer

Department: Network Engineering
Location: Aberdeen , SD

Position Description:

Sr. Network Systems Engineer is responsible for providing top quality services and solutions to our clients through industry knowledge and expertise. Maintaining a high level of client satisfaction is a must. You will routinely perform project-based installations and service-based repair calls both remotely and at client locations and will occasionally assist the Managed IT teams. This position is responsible for management, administration and integration of products and applications; handling responsibilities from basic system installations to the overall architecture.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Proficient with Microsoft operating systems, various server roles, Active Directory and group policy
  • The ability to Work with clientsí server infrastructure environment to install DC and/or member servers, associated application support and maintenance
  • Experience with email applications (Exchange, O365) is a plus
  • Experience with backup applications is required
  • Experience with Enterprise security applications is a plus (Anti-Virus, Anti Malware, etc.)
  • Experience in SAN technologies is required
  • Proficient with Virtualization technologies is required
  • Ability to efficiently troubleshoot complex issues and resolve to client expectations
  • Proficient installing and updating firmware and drives in a Data Center setting
  • Proficient with business collaboration tools such as MS Office applications
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure technologies is a plus
  • Troubleshoot networks, systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational deficiencies
  • Provide technical support to end-users regarding hardware/application issues
  • Architect or assist in architecting effective quality solutions to meet our customersí needs
  • Develop and follow Marco best practices and operational procedures and create visual and written documentation
  • Stay up to date with relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems
  • Maintain industry certifications
  • Promote new and innovative approaches to addressing business challenges
  • Function collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, client orientated team
  • Accurately maintain documentation and comply with service administrative procedures, including pick tickets, ticket updates, time entries and timesheets
  • Consistently maintain a revenue-to-wage ratio of 2.5 or above
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by direct manager or supervisor

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelorís degree and 6+ years of experience or equivalent experience (8 or more preferred)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Excellent organizational and time/task management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current industry certifications, including Cisco CCNA/CCNP Data Center, Microsoft MCP/MCSE, F5, VMware VCP
