Managed Services Specialist

Department: IT/Technical
Location: St. Louis, MO

Position Description:

The Managed Service Specialist is responsible for achieving team sales goals by assisting a team of IT Sales Representatives within an assigned territory to ensure long-term business development and sales growth. This position will be responsible for collaborating with their sales peers to effectively promote, qualify, design and close new business within our Managed IT, Cloud IT, Cloud Voice and WAN/Carrier Solution offerings. This position offers a base salary plus commissions.

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration with designated territory sales team to execute new Recurring Sales revenue
  • Provide coaching and training to territory sales teams on Marco’s Managed portfolio
  • Technical scoping and product expertise on Marco’s Managed portfolio
  • Managing and growing a sales funnel for Marco’s Managed portfolio
  • Working closely with Marco’s Sales Engineering and Client Care teams to serve our clients
  • Working closely with Marco’s territory IT Sales Manager to generate new sales revenue
  • Generating and completing Managed Service contract paperwork
  • Analysis of existing customers’ vendor invoicing and contract information
  • Adopting Marco’s culture with an emphasis on respect for the client and employees

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 4 years of managed services and/or carrier sales experience
  • A technical aptitude or background is preferred
  • Willingness to travel with overnight stays as required
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external clients
  • Excellent customer service and phone skills
  • Strong follow-up and time management abilities and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to thrive in a competitive, goal-driven environment
  • Highly organized, ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of sales activity
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and to operate with changing priorities
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively and professionally manage various types of people and situations
  • Proven track record of overachieving assigned monthly quota
