Sales Manager

Department: Sales
Location: Omaha, NE

As a Sales Manager, you are responsible for achieving your overall team sales goals. You will lead /coach assigned representatives in a manner that assists in their short and long-term professional and personal development. You will develop personal competencies to ensure team revenue growth and profit margin expectations. You will be responsible for managing assigned sales representatives, assisting in the development of sales programs and marketing campaigns that are consistent with corporate strategies and result in loyal employees and client satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage sales funnel, develop annual sales plan, and set sales quotas to achieve individual and team sales goals and corporate initiatives
  • Oversee proposals for products and services to meet Marco’s established profit goals
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of company products and services, Marco sales processes, markets, trends, competitors, and clients to maximize efficiency and effectiveness within your team
  • Develop and partner in conducting effective sales presentations of products and solutions offered by Marco
  • Promote cross selling opportunities with other sales divisions, inside sales and other sales support personnel
  • Possess a thorough understanding of CRM while enforcing direct reports to utilize and maintain a well-qualified data base in CRM
  • Assist your reps in developing territory plans to increase sales and market penetration
  • Manage the required non-traditional work hours to meet job duties and responsibilities
  • Manage sales representatives which includes: hiring staff; training; developing comp packages; conducting performance reviews; and providing corrective actions as necessary
  • Attend required company and departmental meetings

Desired Skill Sets:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of successful outside sales management or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to travel with overnight stays as required
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external clients
  • Self-starter, ability to plan and implement sales strategies
  • Ability to thrive in a competitive, goal-driven environment
  • Highly organized, ability to maintain accurate and detailed records of sales activity
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and to operate with changing priorities
  • Demonstrate ability to deal effectively and professionally with all types of people and situations
  • Proficiencies with business collaboration tools including MS Office applications and company
